Themes dont work at all

After making my basic site, i tried to use the d3c3nt theme. i went to the themes folder, and cloned the repo.
i then added theme = "d3c3nt" to the config.toml as according to the documentation, but nothing works at all.
checked on the forum but nothing seems to actually help my issue. the theme should be working but it just doesnt. still the same blank white

this thread still doesnt help me and im still completely lost.

Getting started guide seems to not support themes

I just started using Zola, followed the Getting Started guide, added some content, and then tried to add a theme. I was quite surprised to see that no matter what theme I cloned into themes and added to config.toml, nothing changed. I kicked off a new repo to debug, and did the theme first, checking through each step of the Getting Started guide. It worked! Right up until creating index.html in which gives you a page that doesn’t import site.css, and thus only has whatever CSS you manually …

honestly i think the documentation needs to be looked over if it is this convoluted to get things working.

It looks like this theme is missing some documentation looking at https://d3c3nt.figbert.com/.
It should mention the user needs to replace some front-matter:

1. https://git.figbert.com/d3c3nt/file/content/_index.md.html the template = "section.html" for the home index
2. _index.md - d3c3nt - [DORMANT] a fairly decent theme for the zola static site engine the whole setup for the Posts section
