Offtopic, Anyone thought of using the zola code base to make something similar to obsidian?

I recently was exposed to obsidian.md, we have been using it at the office for technical documents.

All we have to do is saved a note_about_whatever.md and it shows up in the application and is fully searchable.

I recently filled a bug but had to do so through their forums, I then realized its not open source, it seems like most of the major applications in this category all rely on electron, so ive been searching around for alternatives.

You can make a wiki with Zola but you still have to add the internal links manually in text. The backref feature was added with Obsidian and co in mind.
