Has anyone tried to write a book using Zola?

wondering if anyone used Zola (or a similar SSG) to publish a book with references, TOCs, indexes etc? what tools have you used to generate PDFs, indexes etc? Any particular themes that you like to use for that purpose?

I’ve built a publishing company’s website with Zola, which includes a book’s template + ToC + all book content.

There is no theme, but you can extract it if you are interested. Here’s the source code of the website: GitHub - laniakeabooks/laniakeabooks.org: Website for laniakea books

The book section is in content/books/.

The PDF generation is completely separate to the Zola website (it’s a LaTeX codebase). There is yet another codebase for EPUB generation, but you could possibly make the Zola sources produce a EPUB. It might prove kinda messy, though.
