By default, YouTube’s privacy is not really good. It is commonly recommended to use the “nocookie” mode. At least the patch is easy:

I’m actually tempted to remove the default shortcodes, I didn’t think anyone was actually using them

Please don’t! Most blogs I know embed YouTube videos every now and then.
