Hello, I’ve searched for posts about themes but didn’t find much.

I’ve been looking at switching to Zola from my decade old Jekyll setup. I had found a theme I thought I’d try, but then I’ve been sick most of the summer. I don’t remember the theme I found. My current Jekyll theme, although old is a very full featured, portfolio, resume and blog theme.

Now, it seems the theme gallery only has 10 themes in it.

Is there a place where themes can be browsed like they used to be?

What is the recommended way to find themes at this time?

You can see all the themes in [GitHub - getzola/themes: Creates the templates section to be used in Zola doc site · GitHub](https://github.com/getzola/themes)

Only the ones that actually build correctly are shown on the website but the one you’re looking for is in that repo, I am not removing the ones that don’t build (yet).

So all those themes are now defunct?

Is the best course of action to build one from scratch?

When choosing a theme, I used the following curated lists:

> **[GitHub - Jieiku/zola-themes-benchmarks](https://github.com/Jieiku/zola-themes-benchmarks)**
>
> Contribute to Jieiku/zola-themes-benchmarks development by creating an account on GitHub.

> **[GitHub - salif/zola-themes-collection: A curated directory of themes for Zola](https://github.com/salif/zola-themes-collection)**
>
> A curated directory of themes for Zola

This gave me a list of the features I wanted (search, fast, high [Google Lighthouse](https://pagespeed.web.dev/) score, modern HTML+CSS), and those I did not care for.

I then refined my choice with Gemini, by discussing my needs.

It suggested Apollo, that I chose, and am happy with.
