# Import from Hugo?

Is there an importer for converting from Hugo to Zola?

After reading about the changes to a module-based approach in 0.56 it really feels like I would need better programming experience just to upgrade. I think this would be a good time to explore Zola, but an importer would be nice, if one exists?

I don’t think one exists. The main issues are the shortcodes and templates in general which cannot be ported automatically.
